Peg and Jim Hassett  > Holidays > Fourth of July, 2009
Our friends M and C invited us to their lake place for the Fourth of July weekend, and we had a great time. Among other things, we went sailing, scootering and kayaking, but didn't do a lot of photography. Nevertheless, we've selected a few photos to share.

Peg and Jim Hassett > M and C don't have a cabin on their lake property, but they park a nicely-equipped trailer for the summer. There's also a shed that houses a generator, water heater, solar panel, and compact but modern three-quarter bath.
Peg and Jim Hassett > They also built this gazebo, where Peg and I slept. It was quite pleasant!
Peg and Jim Hassett > C sails his Hobie Cat.
Peg and Jim Hassett > He brought the catamaran over to the dock to pick us up for a ride around the lake.
Peg and Jim Hassett > Don't you think the boat looks fearsome with its Jolly Roger?

Peg and Jim Hassett > On Sunday morning, C sailed alone while Peg and I kayaked.
Peg and Jim Hassett > This pair of loons entertained us with song and dance while we paddled about. I've got a short video on my blog if you'd like to hear the singing and see some dancing.
Peg and Jim Hassett > In this cropped and enlarged photo, you can get a pretty good look at one of the loons.
